AUSTAL View T
controls the dispersion model AUSTAL2000 of the Technical Instruction on Air Quality Control, helping the user in the project work for impact statements by interactive data entry and result visualisation as maps.
AUSTAL2000 is the official
dispersion model for permitting procedures of technical plants in
Germany. It was developed on behalf of the Federal Environment Agency
and provided for free use under GNU license.
AUSTAL View is an
ergonomic-intuitive graphical user interface operating under Windows
NT/2000/XP.
AUSTAL View G
calculates the dispersion of odorous compounds based on the model
AUSTAL2000 (meteorological time series) with selectable peak-to-mean factors, e.g. accounting for on-site sampling. ODOR View is thus applicable to situations where a Gaussian statistical/
climatological model cannot be used or only with strong limitations, e.g. :
- odor emissions variable in time
- low level sources
- areas near the source
- complex terrain
- building effects
AUSTAL Met
comprises of various
meteorological data products:
- AKT: annual time series of
meteorological dispersion conditions, hourly resolved with wind
direction, wind velocity and turbulence class
- AKS: statistics of time series AKT over 5 to 10 years
- ASW: statistics of time series for wind direction and wind velocity
over 1 or more years containing mean velocities for each sector and
95-percentile values
AKT and AKS are input data
for the dispersion model AUSTAL2000.
AUSTAL
Immo, AUSTAL Topo
are two data products:
- BLN: building blocks from
stereographic aerial photos, compiled for direct use in
AUSTAL/ODOR View
- XYZ: terrain elevation files
as input for AUSTAL/ODOR View in case of
complex terrain as
base for the wind field

SLAB
View
is a emergency release dense
gas model, a sophisticated tool to predict hazardous zone and potential impacts of accidental
releases. It is ideal to analyze emissions from accidental releases of toxic gases.
SLAB View can model continuous, finite duration, and instantaneous releases from four types of sources:
- a ground-level evaporating pool
- an elevated horizontal jet
- a stack or elevated vertical jet
- a ground-based instantaneous release
